Product Art & Graphics

I led the product art team at American Girl, owning new concept art direction, style guides, toolboxes, and final production files for all sub-brands, as well as managing 1-3 designers. This role covered a broad range of art styles, including historical print & pattern recreations, contemporary trend-driven fashions, whimsical fantasy themes for little girl, and baby doll categories.

Art techniques include screen print graphics, repeating block patterns, embroidery, tampo prints and in-mold graphics, books, booklets, DIJ printing, and sticker sheets. My art was often used by the Brand Creative team to create marketing assets and retail graphics.

I worked closely with designers and development partners through all phases of product development, including toolbox creation, Pantone color palettes, presentations to executive leadership, legal reviews, vendor communication, and sample reviews, as well as process improvements.
